Improve Efficiency for Porterage & Other Hospital Logistics

Ascom Wireless Solutions will be launching DURAdispatch, a web based task ordering system that optimises work flow. It is ideal for organising ‘best fit’ routines for Porters, Auxiliaries, Maintenance, Cleaning, Catering and other personnel, regardless of where they happen to be on site.

DURAdispatch enables Administrators to assign work direct from any PC, to staff with Ascom Handsets. Using an installed Graphical User Interface, they simply type in the instruction, which is sent as a text message.

Pre-programmed protocols provide a large range of message handling routines. For example it could automatically be sent to a number of staff in a predetermined group; or to the person with the shortest list of existing tasks, even those who are located in a specific part of the site.

On receiving the message, Handset owners have to acknowledge receipt. Should the original message not be acknowledged, the system will cascade it to other users until it is accepted. On completion of the job staff use the Handset to flag that the job has been done.

The Administrator can see all this process in real time, and DURAdispatch automatically records response times and other statistics.
