Building alarms

Ascom wireless solutions remotely monitor maintenance or alarm conditions for all sorts of third party machinery such as indoor climate systems, lifts, doors, windows, lighting and other building management equipment. installations. The engineer gets the alarm directly to their pocket without it having to via a central control. They can check the status from anywhere in the building and also reach colleagues with voice and text messages when necessary. Handset carriers can either receive a detailed text message about the on going functioning of monitored equipment or in case of failure, an automatic alarm. The process can be two way, so by transmitting a pre-programmed signal, adjustments can be made to the equipment in real time. Therefore maintenance staff for example, can 'see' what is happening in their total environment. They can instantly trigger a response to a specific situation, for example, stop a fan or restart a pump, without the need to physically attend the equipments location.

Ongoing information about vital technical installations, such as energy consumption in the building as a whole, air flow in the ventilation system, water flow in heating and cooling circuits, can be provided automatically or on request.

Not only does an Ascom Solution make for a quicker response, but allows staff more mobility and the ability to handle several situations at once.
