Portable Push Button Messaging improves Customer Experience

Portable messaging

Keeping it simple is the concept behind this wireless based Help Point system. It provides an extremely efficient and cost effective solution for situations where messaging requirements are pre-determined and very specific.

Originally designed by Ascom Wireless Solutions to improve communications between supermarket checkouts and supervisors, telePOINT is now used in many Hotels and Conference Centres to alert Staff via their Paging or DECT handsets.

telePOINT keypads are programmable with up to 15 pre-determined messages tailored to your needs, such as; ‘Porter Required to Room xyz’; ‘Room Service to Room 123’; ‘Coffee to Meeting Room 789’ etc. They can be located with a Supervisor but also within Hotel or Conference Rooms for direct use by Customers.

Messages are initiated by pressing the relevant labelled button on the keypad, and are transmitted directly to the person responsible for responding to that specific request. Staff, who can be anywhere in the Hotel complex, instantly receive the instruction as a text message on their Ascom handset.

telePOINT keypads are portable. They can be placed on a bedside table, reception counter or given to a Conference Organiser for the day then moved elsewhere when needed.

Hotels have found that the Ascom telePOINT system makes for a quicker response, both improving the customer experience and staff efficiency.
