The new IP DECT application is able to cover many diverse operational requirements. For example large sites containing any number of remote general purpose and high security buildings: Mission critical functions including Lone Worker Protection both at ward level, and non-clinical personnel working in the grounds; interfacing with existing hard wired alarms both in clinical environments and areas with specific safety aspects; instantaneous cardiac and violence alarm messaging direct to emergency response teams, including incident location to ensure a rapid response. Handset functionality includes swappable SIM cards; integration with the existing PBX; hands free speech and alphanumeric text.

At the Show Ascom will be launching ‘aTouch’; a new PC based instant messaging software that enables rapid and accurate dispersal of alerts and alarms from a central control to individuals or predetermined task groups.
