ATEX - POTENTIALLY EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERE
Challenge
Wireless communication in intrinsic rated working environments has always posed problems of ensuring safe operation.
Solution
We have designed a range of IP-DECT phones and alarm units and access points in versions classified as "intrinsically safe" (EX 'i'). They have been certified as causing no risk of explosion in gas and dust environments.
In the European Union, ATEX directives 94/9/EC and 1999/92/EC specify the requirements for equipment and systems used in potentially explosive atmospheres, and the standards for the safety and health of workers exposed to such environments.
Benefits
- One handset can be used in and out of hazardous locations
- Only supplier offering a comprehensive combined Ex and non-Ex classified systems
- Seamless integration between explosion-safe devices and normal devices and networks
